Vima Deco
A mansion by the sea-side in the area of Ambelas. The owners wanted to transform a traditional build house into a very modern one.
We used unique material, like black Persian marble in the bathrooms, combined with large glass surfaces, antic looking large slabs (1.00 x 1.50) each of naxian marble in the rest of the house.
In the bedrooms we re-used the teak wood planks from the old house, giving them a new role.
The infinity edge pool overlooking the Aegean sea had a large marble basin through which water was circulating diving you the impression of a cataract.
The enclosed patio with the old olive trees and natural herbs gave you the ability to isolate from the neighboring houses.
In the basements, by creating large openings in front of all balcony doors, light was penetrating till the last corner. There was a Turkish bath, in this area, too as well as a large play room.
Unfortunately the house changed hands and the new owners changed many things. The good thing is that it was photographed and published at Vima Deco magazine.
